Notice of intention to marry

You need to give a notice of intention to marry at least 29 days before your wedding.

Things to consider:

  • You can only get married after you submit a notice of intention to marry.
  • Check our wedding guides for the documents you'll need for the interview as well as the costs involved.

Choose your package

Use our interactive wedding packages tool to make sure you select the most suitable one.

Things to consider:

  • A personalised wedding package will give you the freedom to add bespoke details and make your wedding ceremony truly unique.
  • You'll have to pay a £50 deposit, over the phone or in person, when you book your wedding package.
